Braintree’s young First Team travelled to Kent United on Sunday 1 November and returned with three important points after a 7–5 away victory.

Working with a slightly depleted squad, the visitors scored seven times to secure the win. Results elsewhere also went Braintree’s way, moving the team into second place in the T2 South table at the end of the weekend.

Three doubles in Kent

Segun Olofinjana, Harvey Farmer and Rafi Bookbinder each scored twice, with Ellis Beckett adding the remaining goal to complete Braintree’s seven-goal tally.

The attacking return helped Braintree get the result they needed, although conceding five left clear areas to work on. The club’s assessment was positive about the performance and the points, while recognising that some avoidable goals will need to be addressed in training.

Hadley Quattrucci was named Braintree’s Player of the Match.

England camps ahead

The result sends Braintree into a two-week international break in a strong position. Several players will attend England Under-17, Under-19 and Under-23 camps across the following two weekends, and everyone at the club wishes those involved the best of luck.

Training continues as normal as the squad prepares for its next home fixture against London International. Further match details will be shared closer to the game.
